hey... yea, it happened. my head gasket went and my cylinder head cracked. because im gonna have the motor all apart now, time for cams and all that fun. does anyone know where i can get a cylinder head? maybe something with some work done to it... let me know. thanks
yea... it over heated. i walked into a store quick and left it running. i come outside and i smell coolant, look down at the temp and its pinned at hot. shut it off, pop the hood, it boiles over and that was that... and i just did the water pump because that was acting up...
damn, sorry to hear dude, sometimes its just that easy to blow the motor. i wonder if maybe your water pump was the issue before or maybe it was the cause after.. in any case whats done is done, good luck finding a new head. check local scrap yards and places online like bavarian auto recycling

how did you find out the head was cracked? man, maybe the thermostat got stuck?, did you chage the thermostat when you changed the water pump? all in all that sucks man. Good luck on the rebuild, let us know how deep it will get in the pockets.

Goddamn dude, that sucks bigtime. Good luck with the replacement parts. E36 cylinder heads go for sale on bimmerforums.com alot. I'd hate to send you to another forum, but they almost always have something for sale.

thanks everyone. ill let you know how it comes out. im building something insane out of this car because i miss my cobra (ill be honest) so when its done i want to see mid 12's at E town. haha. but keap throwin sites at me to find a cylinder head. definately want something good...
I honoustly don't want to be the one always bitching about euro M3 heads, but if you're thinking about replacing you can think about it.
The prices won't differ that much I suppose for a complete head, and even then you can still do shit like cams etc.
But then you'll have a kickass car
