Thumbs up

Hi.

I wonder if anyone can help me....

Not sure if I have a problem with my E39 M5 accelerating.

How quickly should the M5 accelerate from being still?

....and ... what speed should the M5 reach in 1st and then 2nd gear?

I have another issue....

How do I adjust the height of my selt belt (on the side, where it comes out).

I can move it up but it won't stay where I move it, it just move back down to the lowest point.

I'm told that this should move automatically as the chair is moved back but mine doesn't (on either driver or passenger) - have I a problem or is there something I've overlooked??

Quite new to the BMW so any help much appreaciated.

Thanks in advance - Darren

now you can't accelerate an m5 from cold as fast as when it is hot because the ecu will not let you untill the lights go out

Thanks for reply.

Am aware of what you mentioned.

I meant generally, when warmed-up, how quick should the car be from a stand-still. What speed (on the speedometer) should be obtainable from 1st gear & then 2nd gear.

Mine just seems very sluggish in 1st gear.

Thanks,
Darren

Id give it a little more in first.. maybe 35... and I'd say you should only hit right between 55 and 60... Got to love the rear end in that car.. its rather marvelous...
