Hi, im new to the forums but not to the BMW scene. I have been a proud BMW owner for about 3.5 years when i first bought my 2001 330i Fully Loaded Beemer.
I have decided that i need to upgrade to the M3. When i went to the dealership to go look at the M3's to get a feel how much damage its going to do to my finacial department i found this realy sweet BRASS colored BLACK Int 2003 M3.
Specs:
BMW M3 2003 Model
Brand New - 489 KMs
SMG
19" Rims
Rear Sun Shield
The MSRP was $86,177 CDN - The listed price of the car is now 72,900.
Now i really liked the BRASS paint job, its totaly unique and eye catching. I started to haggle and decided to do the whole trade in thing. After minutes of talking to the sales rep, i realized he wasnt taking me seriously, or he though i was too wound up... so he would not budge on the trade in price.
He offered to take my 2001 330i for 28,000 CDN = 32,760 CDN /w taxes... I was like... WTF are you smoking. The car is all stock except the 5800 dollar AC Schitzer body kit. I pretty much left the dealership angry and decided to call back and get some more info on the car.
I came back the next day after speaking to another sales rep and we haggled for about 2 hours on the price of the car and whats going on with the sale.
End results are roughtly this - Brand New M3 2003 Version (490 kms)
71,500 - with the trade-in worth 40,000 for the 330i.
If this deal comes through, is it good ? Should i push for more or am i getting a good deal ?
71,500 CDN = 54,580 USD (Rate 1.31%)
Plus instead of the $32,760 CDN for the car, im getting $40,000 CDN.
Would love to get some feedback before i go in there on Monday and sign the papers. Thanks for the help, i cant wait to get into the M club
