So I have decided that I am going to do some power upgrades this winter. I would like you guys to give me some help ideas or whatever else you may have.
So far these are the options I am looking at:
Supercharger - Undecided kit will look into if I decide to go this route.
OBD1 conversion- Can anyone give me a guesstimate of what kind of HP can be produced with this conversion. I really cant find too much information on it.

Ask Jllphan for more about that! Probably there's a thread about that in the technical forum or FAQ.

Swap the m50 manifold and there are the power gains. Changing to OBD 1 is illegal, so you might have a hard time registering your car. Can I ask why you want to Converto to OBD1 ?
If you really wanted OBD1 You shoud have bought a 95 M3
* sorry if it sounds a little mean just kind of stating a point. *

My car is already registered, and I dont have emissions. Converting to OBDI gives me the ability to gain more power from N/A addons. Plus it frees up the lost HP from being OBDII.
It is also a good amount less than buying a supercharger/turbo kit.
If I wanted a 95 I would have bought a 95.

"OBDII doesn't restrict gains. Intakes and exhaust make the same power OBDI vs OBDII. The track pipe isn't an OBDI/II issue at all. 96+ cars came with better flowing center sections as compared to 95's.
My car makes 235/221 with intake/exhaust/crank pulley/m50. Show me an OBDI 3.0 or 3.2 with similar mods making more power. OBDI/II doesn't matter anymore."
Not only is it a PITA to convert its going to cost you $1000+ in tools and parts. Like I said above its ILLEGAL
also just because your car is already registered doesnt mean they cant inspect it. Ive heard it done before.
thats my o2

Hey fellas, new to the board. Can you tell me where I can buy or what I need to convert my OBDII 97 M3 intake to the M50 intake manifold, besides the intake. I already have the intake manifold, just need to know the supporting hardware.. Can I do it myself, or do I need to buy a kit like the one M3 Motorwerkes sells? Does anyone else sell he kit?
Thanks in advance!
