excuse my ignorance because i'm new with BMW.
what does these:
E30, E36, E46, E28, E34, E39, E60 mean? say 1998 E36 M3. any input would be appreciated. thanks.
those e.... mean the generation that the bimmer is from.. i guess they change the number for different models, (3,5,7,etc series) and also they change the number depending on the body of the model.
they are the development codes.
The 1998 M3 is an E36. which is the 3-series model built from 1992 to 1998
