Hey all. I have an E36 M3 and I feel like when I put the car in gear there is a ton of play in the shifter.. Almost like the car was in neutral but in every gear. Are there some bushing in there that I should check out. Or is this normal and should be disregarded. thanks

only 75,000. How much of a pain in the ass do you think it would be to replace those bushings? and is there any possibility.. Another question on have is I see alot of short throw shift kits on ebay for really cheap. R those bad boys worth looking at I would figure it would be the same peices and parts as any other pricey one.. What are your guys thoughts on this?

It is the bushings. Use the DIY from pelicanparts. Can be done in 30 minutes. May take you up to a couple of hours your first time, but it is not hard.
Instead of dropping $$$$ on an aftermarket ssk, just put in the shifter from an z3 m coupe.

try bmaparts.com, everyone who has ever recommended it says to call and ask for patrick and he can get you what you want, I think they sell a kit that comes with the shifter bushing.
