The other day I warmed my car up for like 15 - 20 mins, and I read that the best way to warm up the car is to drive it easy. Do you think I could have done any damage, and could that be the reason that my SERVICE ENGINE SOON
no, everything seems perfect, just making sure. By the way, in second gear from the day i got the car, when the car is cold, it hesitates a little around 3500 RPMS. I dont know if it would called hesitating or just like not smooth as it should be, it almost feels like the car is bouncing a bit. Is this common?
I usually just let it sit until it gets back in the warmth chart...then just drive it easy not excedding 3000 rpms...i dont think i'm damaging my ride.
I found out from BMW that the best way to warm up the car is just to drive it easy, dont let the car sit and warm up, otherwise you can screw up the Catalytic convertor.

well with the kind of temperatures that we have in the morning here (25 degrees today) it is safer to let it sit a few minutes before driving it around
I would start it like just a few mintues before you head out. I think theyre telling people not to just turn on the car and let it idle for 20minutes. I think 1-2min gets the oil moving enough, then just take it easy, as said before, not going above like 3k rpm.
agree, let it run for 3-4 minutes (maybe more if extremely cold temps) and then drive conservatively until operating temp approaches.
