My 2003 M3 came with the cheap looking imitation silver trim for dash, door pulls, shifter plate. I really don't like it much. I'm considering ordering myrtlewood for my car. I could also order the newer style carbon fiber, though I think I like the Myrtlewood best. The retrofit will cost a whapping 1400-1500 installed at the dealer.

Any alternate suggestions for places to get used trim off another 3 series wreck maybe? Installation headaches, what should I try to do myself, and what should I definitely let the dealer do?

thanks,
Lex

There are a few places where you could get the trim kit. Have a search on Google.

Fitting is a piece of piss. The trim kit should cost you, at most, a couple of hundred dollars.
