| I have just got my first BMW, and what a car! Its a 95 M3 4Dr Saloon with 99K on her. I'm only 23 but have always been fortunate enough to drive fast cars, subarus etc but this car is in a whole different league. I don't think I'll ever buy another front wheel drive car again, what fun is it if your passengers in the rear can't pass your front window when your going around a corner! I live in Northern Ireland, UK and I think 95 was the only year BMW made a 4Dr Saloon for the UK market, please correct me if I'm wrong. If you don't currently drive an M powered BMW make it your lifes ambition to do so, you won't ever be unhappy again. If you already drive an M3 then hopefully you can help me out here :
My car is running on Super Unleaded, the handbook tells me to use Octane 98, is Octane 98 Super Unleaded or just Unleaded?
My car has obviously got genuine M3 rims, the tyres are 235/40/17 all round, some poeple have told me that on a 95 UK M3 that is correct, and other people have told me it would handle better with 225/45/17 on the front and 245/40/17 on the rear, which set-up should I go for?
Finally, if any of you M3 owners could give me advice on common faults on these cars, what is their achilles heel? What should I do to this car before something expensive needs replacing? Its had a new clutch and a new SS exhaust system, I've heard I should replace the water pump before it causes costly damage, is that true?
All tips welcome, thanks people.
