My friend came up to me today and he said that his father had just made a down payment to get on a waiting list for an M6. I can't seem to find any pictures of it except the sketches that I have posted before. Does anyone know more about the M6 or have pictures?

Thats kinda weird. May be he was talking about the M5 or just 645i. BMW is still working on the M5. M6 is going to come after the M5. Which can take more than a year easy. To, think of it. DAMN that some early advance for a prodution based car. Not even a super exotic.

We won't be seeing an M6 for quite a while. Someone was misinformed.

Yes, there will be an M6. I agree with the others it is probably 12 to 18 months out. I have my name on a list at a local dealership. No deposit was required at this time. I would expect that after the official M5 production date is given, we will hear more about the M6. If you look around the forums on the internet, you will see lots of M5 "test mule" sightings, especially around LA right now. You will also see a few potentail M6 sightings related to cold weather testing.

Not to change the subject (well you were kinda discussing it), but what about the official word that the new ///M5 will have the F1 derived V10!!! 400hp and 361.5 ft/lbs of tq. Man, i think i might kill myself in one of those, and love every minute of it!!!

I know this has been speculation for a while, it is just nice to hear it straight from Helmut himself!
