Stolen side mirrors on a '98 m3

Hi,

Unfortunately the glass was recently stolen from the side mirrors on my '98 m3. As far as I can tell, the rest of the assembly is intact. The heating wires are dangling there and look to be in good shape, and the motorized assembly seems to move properly when I use the controls inside the car. I've attached a photo.

Anyway, my question is whether re-attaching the mirror is a simple job I could do myself. I don't know what parts might have been broken or removed when they stole the glass. Can I just order some glass and put it on myself, would I need any more parts, or is it hard do re-attach for some non-obvious reason? If it is an easy job, I'd also appreciate any recommendations for a source for the glass. Thanks all!

I really don't know how to solve your problem, but from the pic you submitted, I'm not technical enough to tell if it can simply snap back on....

Though from experience, there is always a small fragile piece that takes a beating when they rip shit off your bimmer.

what does anyone want to do with the glass, why didn't they just take the whole mirror, prolly some homeless person who doesn't have a mirror, lol i guess it would be easy considering that it seems like it was easy to take off

The ones they make for honda and such.. I dont think they are made with blue mirror glass like a bmw...
