Hi everybody
I'm new here so dont be to hard on me!
I've got a ghead BIG ghead problem with my SMG box (99 E36 3.2 Evo) Its stuck in 3rd gear, if i short the jumper out to put it in N it blows the fuses.
Somebody said its the "pressure sphere"? others have said its the compressor. I'm assuming both are the same, or at least in the same area.
The problem seemed to start when it was serviced and the box was overfilled with fluid, i took out about 1/3 ltr to lower it to the max level.
Is it a Massive job to do? Anybody else had similar problems?
Man, I don't know about that system. The only SMG problems on our US cars, the M3, is mainly the hydraulic pump burning out. That is indicated by a blown 40amp (?) fuse that powers it.
