S54 M3 Engine Reliability (grenading, Blowing Up)

Has anyone on this forum had problems with their M3? Anything minor or major like an engine blowing up due different reasons? Please specify Has anyone had rod bearings fail on the S54 motor?

Please list all major or minor problems that you had with your E46 M3 (SMG or Manual)

i have a friend that works at a dealership and he said they have had a problem with m3 motors blowing up, but mainly because people take them out the first week they have them and downshift from 5th to second instead of 4th, they have a comp. in them like a plane that tells how the engine was running at the time of destruction and the rpms are always up at like 9000 when the motors blow, but the owner denies it cause its not covered by warranty

i have a shop and i work on e36 and e46 m3 only i got an e46 m3 the differential just took a shit i need to anyone ?? and the engine i think the headgasket is done but not shure yet
