Radio not working after battery change

Anyone have any ideas?

I have a 1996 E36 M3. Battery died. BMW roadside came and put in a new one.

Radio now not working. Dead. Not a security code issue (been there done that many times in the past!!).

Pulled out deck, Checked fuses, all OK, unit has power, can't see anything wrong..

Very frustrating, no-one can explain it. Is there some 'trick', or do I just purchase new one (needs to be original deck).

Try disconnecting the neg battery lead for 20 minutes....just a shot in the dark..

same thing happened to me once, still don't know what happened, got another new battery and everything was fine
