creadawg is an unknown quantity at this point
Hello everyone,

I am trying to sell a hardtop off of a 1999 M3. It was off someone else's M3 and I really don't know anything about BMW body styles. People have been asking me if it will work on 3 series BMW's that also have the E36 body style. My question is would they be compatible? From what I under stand, M3's and the 3 series' that are E36 body styles are the same body cars and the hardtop should fit either. Does that sound right? Also, does anyone know what years the 3 and M series' were produced with the E36 body?

I figured I would come to the place where everyone knows more about BMW's then me! Thanks again for any help anyone can give me!

dunno about the hardtop but my guess is yes it would work. As for the M3, it was built from 95-99. 95 was a little different from the rest with smaller engine etc..
