Problem With My "new" M3

Yeah, so everything ELSE is good... but apparently the previous owner liked to pull really hard on the glove box. The door doesn't shut all the way, and I was about to DIY, but then notice that some of the plastic hooks on the door were broken.
Normally, I'd be like, "that's cool" because it still shuts and even locks; but it doesn't shut all the way.
What bothers me is that it doesn't shut far enough to trigger off the glove compartment light - not too big an issue as this light doesn't come on when the car is off (no key in ignition, key not turned in ignition).
Does anyone know if repairs to the glove box are worth it/available?
