Oil Light Flickering

I got the most annoying problem! When I turn on my M3, no problems, once the car gets hot, and I am in idle (this ONLY HAPPENS IN IDLE!) the red Oil level light, right to the top left of the RPM gauge flickers, sometime stays on steady. It is driving me nuts. The oil level in the car is perfect, there are absolutely NO leaks of any kind and I take good care of the car, although I do drive it hard. Anyone got any ideas or suggestions for me. I got to get that light to go away!

If it’s a red light that’s oil pressure not level it could something simple like a sender but get it check before you drive anywhere or it could cost you an engine!!!!!!!!!!

Ouch, I have been driving it like that for about 10K miles!
Its at the BMW dealer right now, Oil level sensor unit or something like that. They are going to be replacing a bunch of stuff, but its covered by my aftermarket warranty, so no worries. They gave me a 2005 325i. Nice car, but the performance is lacking!

You should have asked for a 2005 325xi or 330xi. Hehehe.

I am happy with a 2005 325i, considering my car is a '98 I can't complain, but I feel like I am driving my Moms car, and it seems like it is geared toward being plush instead of being sporty. What happened to BMW, even a E36 325i had a sporty feel?!?!
