Odometer E46 M3 miles to KM

Hi,
I will porbably order an M3 E46 in the coming days and will ship it back to Europe.
I looked for registrations and it seems that we need to have KM on the odometer.
Can we do this with the carsoft 6.5 ?

Do you know what means DOES NOT CHANGE READING ?
Also why only until 2004 ? The model I am looking for is 05 or 06...

why the hell would you order a US spec m3? its more expensive to buy here, lots to ship it, and you still have to change some parts of the car.

Not really :-(, 2nd hand US M3 2005 30kmiles is 26000$ and Europe is 35000 Euro/50000$.
Can you help pls ?

What it means is it will change from Miles to KM but will not change the actual mileage: so if you have 122.889 MILES and you change it it will read: 122.889 KM, it will not change the figure.

As for why only to 2004, because that's all it will do you have to get the newer carsoft 7.4, I think or something like that. ( this is only for ecu programming) which you cant do without additional software anyway, Ive tried.

Why are you changing this? I drove around Belgium for 3 years on UK plates and Miles/mph on my clocks, was stopped 5 times in all , as long as your paperwork is in order no problem.

Yes, last Carsoft is 7.3 and it works with 1988-2008 BMW.

Understood for Km/Miles. It only change the code and not the number of Km/Miles. I am also wondering about the miles per gallon TO liter for 100km.

Probably I need to call BMW and ask what is needed and how much does it cost.

Regarding legislation, maybe it is not mandatory but I prefer to have all in KMs like a real European BMW .

If you can source a UK model cluster or just the speedo, we have duel MPH and KMH on the speedo
