Question....

My On-Board_computer has a few letters or numbers missing from the display, there is light behind them but the letters or numbers dont stand out. I have a bently service manual but doesnt say much about it. Should i replace it? . I like everything in my car to function properly , any tips i gladly appreciate it.

Another one, on the heated seats, i notice the passenger side seat heats up very nice , hotter than my infiniti fx's seats, but i notice the drivers side doesnt, im looking at the schematic and what i see is that theres a drivers seat heater element and a drivers seat back heater element, are those replaceable? Maybe it could be the switch , the light turns on for the low and high but i haven't tested the switch.

And finally the rear window defogger takes tooo long to defog. Could it be the relay?

If the pixals are out in the OBC you should replace it, if the pixals look intact but are very dim the bulbs should be replaced...either is extremly easy to do. The heated seat question, the heating units go out frequently and they can be replaced, just forewarning you though you will have to skin the seat to replace it, and that is no easy task! about the rear window defogger, probably the heating element in the window itself...window replacement.

On the OBC, hit 1000 and 10 at the same time until you see "Test Nr" come up on the screen. When you see that, I think 01 is the pixel tester and it will light up all of the pixels to see if they work.

As for the heated seat problem, it is probably the element in the seats. Yes, they can be replaced.

And for the rear defrost, it's a common complaint, but thats just how they are. Nothing you can really do to fix it, thats just how they are. It's like that on every e36.

appreciate the help guys, the obc shoule be a piece of cake and maybe the seats should be an allright job. So ill guess i can live with defroster no problem with that.
