hi, just bought a 93 525i and have been searching the web on info about it. i've been seening the m5 mentioned a lot....what is it and what does it mean?

the M5 is the 5 series M version... M stands for Motosport and is also the performance division of BMW. The M3 is the 3 series M version... basically they have performanced tuned engines, nicer suspension, better brakes, bigger rims, etc
