Depending on what test you read, the E60 M5 runs 0-60 between 4.2 and 4.7 seconds. No 1/4 mile data yet, but it should be low 12's at close to 120mph. Lateral g's are running over 1.0, but no real tests yet.

Bmw has been throwing around 1.3 gs when talking about cornering. It usually comes up when they mention the almost dry sump oil system.

i think you mean 1.03 Gs cause 1.3 i belive is what the C5R race car pulls.
Using low tech testing equipment (which usually runs real high) which editors use when testing a car for an hour or so (not a full test) they managed to run the M5 to 60 in 4.0 seconds flat. MotorTrend Estimated it at 3.8 seconds using the launch control. I am not sure about the lateral g's but something in the 1.03's

my mistake, I assumed the 1.3 was what they built the oil system for, as over head since the car doesn't make those forces. I know the m5 couldn't pull 1.3, it might flip at that...
