Should I wait for new M3 or trade in my 2005 G35 coupe for slk55 amg now?? I just got my black g35 coupe in jan 2005 and I found out it is a shit car.....lots of problems appeared within 3 months after I got the car....brake problem, Navigation problem....etc....drives me crazy!!!!Shitty Jap car!!! Anyway, I need some suggestions....
The slk, in my opinion, is a bit of a chick car. sure, the AMG package provides some serious get-up-and-go, but it still looks like a standard SLK to the layman. The M3 has serious class, plus the fact that when it comes out there will be nothing like it. the SLK is already beginning to blend in, while the new 3 series style sticks out.

SLK won't touch the sportyness of the M3. Still has the signature "cushy" mercedes suspension. And also like the typical Mercedes, they boast big engines with big hp and never end up being that fast.

Now now, it's also the perfect "old man who doesn't know his cars, but wants something that others will notice" car as well.

I don't know...Just read the Car and driver review of the slk55 and it had 0-60 in 4.5 secs. Someone alos told me that Motor trend tested it for even closer to the 4sec mark. i'm just hoping the new M5 can do wonder. The press seem to be loving the SLKs though.
drivin it, it is fast sure but if u get it make sure u get a stick. Benz's are almost all autotragic. I guarentee if u get a ne m3 you wont be disappoineted. Or what you should do is wait fo the new m-coupe with the 400 hp v8 to come out. That will dominate the slk

I might wrong, but as I know of Benz NO LONGER make stick cars. The M3 is a long wait, you're looking at least 1.5 years from now. Even the M5 has'nt come out yet in North America.
The SLK doesn't look as robust as the current m3 is or the new one will be. The suggestion of going for an M coupe is also a very good one. Benz makes good vehicles, but if I believe you ought to go BMW if you are going for sportiness, handling, and looks among other things.
