Manual Swap

Hi. I'm new around here but I've been browsing for some time now. Anyways I'm looking to pick up a 97 M3 (sedan because I like the way they look more..I don't know) but the only ones I can find are all auto's. I'm desperate for a manual so does anyone know how much it might be to switch out the auto for a manual and possibly how much I could get for the auto tranny? Thanks

i have a 98 m3convertible with auto tranny : ( only way i could afford it...i want to swap out my auto with a manual.. suggestions...how much would it cost..could i switch i out with a smg instead?? would it be cheaper? HELP!

For the tranny plus labor, over 2 grand I would definetely say.

How many miles are on your auto tranny? Those are 5 speed automatic right? As in some of those with 325's might want a 5 speed auto instead of a 4 speed, so maybe $400 easy, but could get more for it.

I am not sure if this will help but i had my Auto 318i swapped to manual

Costed me Approx $3000 au which is about 2300us...

You would be looking at a bit more for the fact that an m3 gearbox Clutch, mounts, flywheel dif are all worth more....

Best way would be to find a full gearbox on ebay then add on approx 1000 for labour
