Hi!! Guys, my cousin says that he saw a video of a 300ZX TT (Twin Turbo) beat an E46 M3. I don't believe it. I'm pretty sure the 300ZX dude had modded his car to beat the M3. Even if he had modded, I still don't believe he can beat an E46 M3. I read a story where a person says he beat a 300ZX TT with his 97 M3. Can you guys please give me some insight on this please? If he did beat that M3, I think he probably had heavily modded his car.

Do you think a 300ZX TT can beat an E46 M3?

Thanks.

wouldn't surprise me, but it takes twin turbos in order to beat it.. put in a SC or turbo on an e46 and it's bye bye 300.

also in a track race, a 300 wouldn't last one lap

Not sure if 300ZX TT and an E46 M3 are comparable. The first being a good sport coupe while the M3 stands tall as expensive sedan/coupe. The ZX stands in a class all on its own.
A. Its close to half the price of an M3 coupled with 40-45 HP less.
B. Both cars drive on two different levels.

However if Nissan is determined to unleash a 400HP monster in its 350Z, then all bets are off.

That is sure an up and coming product frmo Nissan that I look forward to seeing... they are making very solid stuff lately... I like their work.

My friend and I just finished fabricating his 350Z for next years track season... got tuning this summer... but he just went to Japan for a while.. so I dont know how much more of that car I will see.. but they make good stuff for those cars... and those cars come from the factory very well made in my opinion.....

Your insights Bill?

Les

Iíll tell you Les several things with the 350Z does raise an eyebrow or two:
1. The engine sits behind the front wheel axle so theoretically this car is considered a mid-ship engine car. Does this makes 50/50 by default?
2. On one review they mentioned a ripple-control damping effect for tire contact on uneven surfaces.
3. This car was supposed to have a Cd figure of 0.28 or 0.29 and zero-lift. That is to say Sticky indeed!

regards

Hi!! Thanks guys. Yeah, I think the E46 M3 would take out the 300ZX anytime. Oh and Nissan is coming out with 300hp for it's 350Z for the 2005 model year. That's going to be good but still not fast enough for our E46 M3.

Oh and the new M3 is V8 with 400hp.

Thanks.

You talk like it's impossible to beat an m3... Any car can be modded to beat an m3. There are turboed civics and integras that beat anything new (in a straight line only of course) this side of the new viper.

You don't believe it? I've heard stories from good friends of a kid's 10 grand integra beating e46 m3s.

M3 was never built to beat everything in a straightline. It was built as a luxurious coupe that can do well at a track. It pulls that off better than anything besides the m5 as far as I'm concerned. The M5 is more luxury, less track performance. (But it's close enough that I give it the nod).

Please would someone give me the same crack you guys are on. Please share the crack with me. I love my 2003 M3 to death. I fight and argue all day about it for the right reasons, but to say that you can beat a modded 300ZX TT, please give me some crack. Let me tell you who owned me suckaa.... I got owned by a Volvo 850R, a Fcking SRT-4, couple of well modded Hondas and then the worst of all, a damn piece of crap WRX.... So for you to go and say that you can take on 300ZX makes me bet all my life belongings on the 300ZX.... Man that car almost made me cry..... This young guys from my church owns one. He put close to $4Gs into the car and me absolutely owns me everytime we race. I will post a video to show you how bad I got smoked. I killed some Mustangs GT and some Toyotas and GTOs but I got owned by pretty much everything else other then some family cars. Like I said I love my M3 to death but I pick my battles and I loose like a man and win like a man. No excuses..... So please stop the bullshit....

This man speaks the truth... a modded TT Z would kick the shit out of an E46 M3. Ask me if my buddies TT doesn't beat my CBR600F4i from a 100 roll? Buying an M3 is saying a few things... 1) I like a luxury sports coupe 2) Modded turbo and muscle cars will always kick my ass in a drag, but I've decided I can live with it

I used to own a modded 300zxTT...it would smoke any stock m3...but if both cars were stock I have a feeling the M would win.

Too bad it's easy to mod TT zx's, boost controller =D

as you can see by my name im sad to say it had to have bin modded. 300's are heavy bastards. plus the vq's are a long process to make strong so thats why i dropped a rb25det in a 97 240sx. that can waste modded m3 all day. no cryogen process to make the block strong enough or anything.

Stock vs. Stock the e46 would win.

But a ttz32 is DEADLY with just the slightest amounts of mods.
