| And here is where it gets complicated. The M3 is faster. Period. It has more power and that pretty much means it's gonna' be faster. However, the Alpina is generally a nicer car, having been fitted with upgraded interior, a nice, subtle body kit, and some engine upgrades. Not sure about suspension upgrades... As far as pedigree goes, the Alpina cars are built by BMW and Alpina. BMW manufactures the car up to a certain point in the assembly process, then it is handed over to Alpina to finish. There are a ton of tuning options available for either car, so you can't go wrong here. Basically, either of them is going to bring a smile to your face. The M3 being slightly more common, but faster. ANd the B3 being quite a bit more rare, but sacrificing a bit of speed. Have you test driven either? I mean, that's a really hard choice, given that they are both convertibles, and both such excellent cars. You almost need to get them together and drive them in succession, so you can compare them against one another. Anyone else want to chime in here? I'm not exactly a subject matter expert on Alpina. I just know the basics, and where to look |
