SMG has several settings available to you. Depending on how fast a shift you want. You can set it to a lazy shift to a lightning quick response like you see on the F1 cars. I like it!

The best description I can give is that it gives you the sensation of being in the passenger seat when someone else is driving a stick. It's an odd feeling and if you're really interested in one, you need to drive the smg and stick on the same day a couple times.

SMG is really amazing, I actually accidentally hit the dead pedal sometimes because I think there is a clutch...the first thing you notice is that there is no slow rolling idle in gear, at lights if you take your foot off the brake you are in neutral, and you can do everything you could with a manual with SMG and more because it shifts insanely fast...you can even drop the clutch to get good launches and everything, it is great...

the smg II shift really fast when set to the highest level. you can shift without ever letting go of the gas pedal.
