| M3 Project 4/27/12
Hi All,
For those of you that saw us at MFest, we're continuing our work on our M3 Project. We met a lot of nice people there. No one is more frustrated than me that we couldn't run our car at the track that day. With only 500 miles on a brand new engine, it wasn't worth the potential damage to the new goods. We intend to have the car track ready in time for Bimmerfest in Pasadena. We're going to post more video as we get it edited, including the engine install.
We intend to move forward with the car, as it's an ongoing project and potential test bed. So far, we have done the following:
Dinan 4.6L stroker engine
Dinan high performance throttle bodies
Dinan underdrive pulley system
Dinan engine software
BMW Performance Inconel exhaust system
Dinan adjustable coil suspension (for EDS optioned cars)
Dinan adjustable rear toe links
BBS LM-R 19" wheels powdercoated to match trim
Seats restitched in Orange, with matching piping, and Alcantara insert
BMW Performance Alcantara steering wheel
Lithionics lightweight battery
Hand painted stripes in BMW M colors
As soon as we get the engine properly broken in, and the suspension dialed in, we're going to take it to the track and get some times, numbers, and action footage.
