M3 Extended Warranty??? - BMW Forum

My 02, M3 warranty expires in a week, although the engine is still covered for another 2 years. The car has only 25K miles. Should I buy extended warranty and if yes through whom?

My recommendation would be to buy the extended warranty. I personally would not want to own a BMW out of warranty. Assume you would purchase it from a "dealer near you?" Certainly a telephone call to a dealer would answer all questions. ZZ

Have you had any problems up until now? I'm nto goign to recommend against a warranty, because everyone is different. What you should do is go into BMW and make sure all recalls and updates are done. Do you own an SMG? If you have an SMG ask the dealer to update the newest/most updated/proven software for it.

Does the engine warranty cover only the engine or does it cover the cooling system and transmission?
