My Dad went to tahoe this weekend so I had the car for the weekend....OMG
That was the first time I actually really pushed my M3...WOW... thats all I have to say...if you haven't been in an m3, go
I figured out how to get the extra bar on smg by turning off DSC and it would chirp between 1st and 2nd, 2nd and 3rd, and 3rd and 4th,that is just power omg...
This thing was crazy...please everyone go out and buy/get a ride in an m3, I now understand why the m3 was created
now the downside of the night, raced a dinan m5 and got raped...LOL
You basically described the experience as being a fast one, you could destroy an m3 with a cheap american car if that's all the m cars were about. It's more than chirping between gears...
randomg: i know its "not" a strait line car, it handels amazingly, the handling is insane, that is what sets it apart from lats say a Saleen Mustang (which I raced last night)
didn't directly race it, me in the m3, another 04' m3 coupe and the saleen were messing around...sorry to leave the suspence, so i really dont know what would have resulted...
lol, thats stereotypical Saratoga for you, 3 kids under 18 in cars over 50k...its not cool
Only thing is, I was in my Dads, the kids owned the 2002 Saleen Mustang and the 2004 m3, its rediculous
i need to take pictures of our school parking lot one of these days, for the record...my car is not considered very nice to many at my school, but to the kids not living off of trust funds, they think my car is nice
and one more thing, the full Dinan M5 I talked about's owner graduated last year, he was voted most likely to live off of a trust fund...LOL
So I was driving up the 280 this morning in a mad rush to get to the in-laws in SF (we were about an hour late). This is the first time I've pushed the car consistently over 100 mph for an extended period of time, and I have to admit that I re-affirmed my respect for the car after driving up a pretty curvy freeway averaging 100+ mph almost the entire way. The stability in addition to the handling is very impressive. My wife didn't even know we were going over 100 mph most of the time.
