I wll ask for some help with some nice new pics. Thanks guys and sorry even for cluttering things up temporarily. I'll get it there...

So I went to teh local Dinan Service Center/dealer today where all has been done on teh M3 to date. They changed my oil, fixed my rear view mirror, set up my garage door remote, replaced my glove box latch (it was sticking) and oohed and ahhed about the car and were very positive about the seller and his family being terrific folks who took stupendous care of the beast and never spared any expense (Yay I win). I also picked up M3 license plate frames (front and back) which they installed and also had the M3 logo replaced on the CSL trunk as the blue was slightly wearing off and I wanted my badge proud and shiny! As I went to leave at last, I adjusted the rear view mirror and noticed it was STILL a bit wobbly - not good enough past the short term. SO - they are ordering me one and replacing it for free while under warranty- FTW! I enjoyed the showroom too, and then insane new 7 series whose fronmt kidney grills are the size of footballs! Yowza! The new Z4 hood is pretty cool and they're using it on the 5er's too now it seems - kewl. A long, rainy (no wash :( ) but productive day at BMW-land. Back next weekend again for the mirror...never ends, does it??? :shifty :dunno

RM, I just saw this thread. That is one nice killer ride! Black is my favorite color, and I think the E46 is one of the most sexy Bimmer models out there. Was seriously debating going back and forth between the E46 M3 and the C4S before I got my current ride. But who knows, I might still own one some day! (First need a job! LOL!)

Yeah, definitely a sweet ride. Three thumbs up! :thumbs:thumbs:thumbs Congrats!
However, I prefer the hardtop on. Personally, I'm not too keen on convertibles.

Thanks man!

While I obviously love convertibles, that was one of the magic parts of this made in heaven deal - the best of BOTH worlds! FTMFW! The one prior owner not only babied the car like crazy, he also invested non-stop in it (I was freakin' SPEECHLESS when I saw the receipt from the hardtop at $16K plus installed - :eek - must be nice to have a Dad with some bucks (again - YAY recession!!)). The hardtop looks and functions great, has all the electrical vanity lights in the rear and everything! Plus, as I've said, I love that it doesn't take up the trunk space like the folding hardtops do, and with the big house now, I can comfortably just put it covered on its stand in the garage when it's out of season!

Now if we can ever get Miggs to read this thread...LOL.

ok, didnt read the whole thread, lol just went through the pics and and mods, lol

looks awesome man, the wheels arent that bad, guess its the angle the car is in on your sig, but very nice ride man, i should be up in NY around the 7th of august, will let you know though

also, like i said, i didnt go through the whole thread, whats so custom about the hardtop and i think i read 16k for it? wtf?

but yea, congratulations man, ill have to test drive it when im over there, lol

Thanks man. I just got back from getting her clayed and hand waxed/washed - carpets shampooed - teh Werkz. This made up somewhat for getting up to go to the dealer to get a new rear-view mirror and being there an hour and a hlaf only to learn they ordered the wrong mirror! :mad gotta go back in a few weeks. Getting to be a big pain in the ass with this dealer.

Anyway, the ///M car looks terrific and sounds awesome. I was crusing home from teh wash and some random pedestrian heard me coming and ran out in the street to swing/wave an imagiary checkered flag! :rofl2 no - really! Fun stuff.

And again - too bad all Werkz can't get to my house to see those wheels - they are awesome. Again - I had the exact same reaction when I saw it in pictures the first time. The huge lips and the squared off milled steel 5 pointed stars inside them, black with shiny silver edges - I was converted the first time I saw them and Prof saw them in person and liked them quite a lot too as I recall. Anyway, you are totally right - wheels and anything else as to looks are a matter of taste. So glad you checked out the thread man. Now that it's not raining for a moment, plan is to take some new and nice clean pics which I will post here soon...:D

Sounds good. Yes, the dealer can be a pain in the ass but so are plenty of aftermarket companies. I'm in a battle right now over stupid shit regarding my suspension. Hopefully, come Monday I don't have to think about it anymore.

I can't wait for some new photos! Also, I know this has been said, but I believe a video or two is in order as well. :D

I will try and bring out the DVD camcorder along with the stills for some video. Then I need somebody to walk me through Youtube, ect. Posting it. Soo excited about all this - hard to believe it sometimes. I feel spoiled and super lucky! It's really a dream come true for me!

#73 ·
I had the car clayed and compounded for the season Saturday - F#cker is SO SHINY as to nearly GLOW at night - FTW! And those wheels - the rivets all along the inside of the huge rims? AWESOME!

#74 ·
When do you need your mechanic to move in:shifty I could also help on the posting of videos and pics:D

#75 ·
He does have a spare bedroom!

#77 ·
:rofl2 BTW^^^Sweet new sig shot!

#80 ·
The mods will be all over it

I'll be sleeping in the garage with the m3 and z3 to keep a full time watch on them:shifty
