This Day Has Finally Come!!!

Ladies, Gentlemen and Werkzians of all ages. My friends, as many of you know and as my never ending hints have suggested, a spectacular surprise has been a long time coming. As some of you know, I made a serious play for a new E92 M3 when they first came out but in the end, things did not work out. Well, they say things happen for a reason, and they sure did this time - and I am THRILLED. Thank you for putting up with all the BS that led to this incredible happy result! Damn fine piece of motoring beauty you have yourself there RM. Not a big fan of those wheels personally, but I sure as hell wouldn't leave it parked for that reason!

It's actually "sieve" btw... ;)

So they have some spellers in Calgary, eh? SWEET! Game 7 tonight BAYBEE!!! Rooting for teh Wings but definitely could see some bouces and a good game by the Pens and teh Cup goes back to Mario and friends...

As to the wheels, I've said much already, including that I felt the same way until I saw them in person, but the other reason I did not mention is that after lots of research, the first owner wanted big rims that really cleared the Brembo BBK by at least an inch for safety and performance reasaons, even with the huge assed kit in the front. And these wheels aerate terrifically and clear by almost 2 fingers width in the front and a TON in the back over the Brembos all around. I typically like a mesch or multi-style wheel and never was a big fan of black before but again - these just changed my mind. And the look of a 2 or even 3 piece wheel is pretty cool too with the rivets all around, polished scooped black spokes and machined, silver edges inside those monstrous lips (Hmmmmm, ummm, what now...DSL??.., umm, oh yeah, right, the wheelz.... ;) ). Well that's the scoop. I actually LOVE them now (main thing I stare at when I sneaks into teh garage at night) so all is good. They actually remind me a little bit of the big bad underwater HQ of the bad guy in James Bond's The Spy Who Loved Me - really! I'm sure I will not have a problem if I ever decide to sell them and change it up some, but black on the Dark Knight really Werkz...

Let's see there's 3 extra rooms, not counting the media room (where huge flatscreen TV's, blu-rays, giant high end speakers, leather couches and lightsabers live...). It is also next to teh bar with direct access to teh garage and french doors to what is about to be a lovely back patio and manicured grass with an outdoor fireplace...Ahh, the suburbs...throw in a 4-5 car driveway and a 2 car heated garage (new floor to be painted & sealed in the next few weeks) and I'm generally pretty psyched!

Partly sunny at last, plan to take Madam ///M out to play, but getting grief about picking up my cat from my Mom's (which I REALLY don't want to do in the ///M, cat carrier nothwithstanding :eek

So yeah, pretty thrilled overall and still cannot believe I live here...but Yay!

OK - lemme see, xi is Montego Blue metallic and is wifey's DD (now now...) And that fukcer moves lemme tell you - I drives myself to the train to werkz in it everyday to drop myself off (nice plan if spouse works locally or is laid off locally as the case may be... :shifty). She is not a full CPA, just a bookkeeper with a finance degree (and a Conservatory degree in piano from Europe) and was running a medical device office until a few months ago's layoff and is now part timing it until motivation or something else strikes. I am an attorney but work for a large insurance company protecting doctors and hospitals around the country the last 9 years as much better hours and lifestyle... :rule

So we had a glimpse of sunshine yesterday and I ran out to take some quickie Vert shots with teh top down and also family portraits of all three members of the Turkey Fleet (was too lazy/hurried to take down Roadster's top but some kewl pics anyway of interior, etc. On way to werk and will post these this AM...

So quickly, the downside which may make my upcoming introduction to the head oif the local Dinan center slightly less pleasant than planned...

We went top down (armed with padding, towels, blankets, plastic, you-name-it to pick up my cat from Mom's. Cat is 15 and does not take traveling well. Knowin this and needing the space, I grudgingly took the ///M...we were not 5 blocks when the flat tire sensor goes on and goes on red. I pull over and inspect and there's nothing wrong - dunno. Best I can figure, the stock tires are staggered 19's and I've got staggered 20's (275/30ZR20 rear and 245/30ZR20 front) and maybe the system is calibrated to stock pressure?? So back on the road we went. Top down is a huge advantage given the catasrophic display going on in the cat carrier in between cries...UGH.. Anyway, on the way home, going straight and 65 in middle lane of highway, we hit some roadwork (drove it in the Roadster the day before on way home from Yankees and had no trouble...) And yes, suddenly, out of the darkness, a GIANT pothole/really a trench, appears and we went straight through it, jarring my teeth and...causing both the central light housing and GPS rear view mirror to come crashing down danling by their wires... :eek :mad I found a safety zone to pull over and throw on hazards and assess damage. Everything still werked thank GOD. After 25 minutes of trying, I got the lights snappe back in and werking but the rea view mirror needs glue/help. Total Bullshit for this to happen as easily could have caused an accident and I will make my feelings clear when then fixie my warrantied car this week. Wifey held mirror rest of the way and safe and sound...

BTW - dropping it to second or third especially under an overpass unleashes the hounds of hell exhaust...just sweeetness. Pics in a few hours...

More Pictures...

OK - finally had a few hours of sunshine and a few (literally a FEW) minutes to snap off some shots in the driveway of teh "Family" and teh Dark Knight topless, interior, etc...Enjoy...

Yes, yes, I know I need teh nice silver ///M3 plate frames front and back (I have them from the alarm install place, but really did not want ads on the car...) I know a plain plate looks ridiculous on that car, but a little patience and all shall be right. You guys like where they hid teh Escort under the dash on teh left so driver can glance down thru teh steering wheel at teh displayz?? I likey. Also luves teh laser jamming "shifters" by the front and back plates. YAYS. Hope you likes fer now. I plan a real shoot at the beach after she is clayed, maybe some sunset stuff? OK - back to work so I can pay forz all this...Ciao Werkz. xo

Spoke to local Dinan Center/dealer. Going in Saturday for mirror replacement and possibly ECU reflash (they mentioned some sort of recall??). My ECU was updated only 4 weeks ago so hopefully all is good but hey, they wanna do it on their dime (see also, oil change and everything else I can think of as factory warranty is up at end of August) - das just fine by me. Will it EVAR stop teh raining so I) cans take some really nice pics at sunset or somethin....??? SIGH.

#53 ·
^ nope So you should ship her to cali so I can get some beach shots:shifty;)

#55 ·
Nope - I should DRIVE her to Cali so she can run free and visit her Dinan friends and Dinan home! FTW!

YAY.

#57 ·
