I'm new a this so i dont know exactly how it works !
My 1997 M3 3.2L chokes on the first shot of gas i give it when i put it in drive after starting it when it's been sitting for a few hours. Only when it's been sitting for hours ! And only when i put in drive ! I could start it and rev it fine but when i put it in drive it chokes the first shot of gas i give it, i let go and give gas again and it runs fine ! It wont do it again untill it sits for a few hours.
I was woundering if anyone has come across this probleme before !
i also wanted to add there is a chance that perhaps your mass air flow sensor could be shot. its hard to diagnose it , but if you know someone locally with an E36 M3 or maybe even a 328/325 MAF , you could swap out and see if the problem continues, all your trying to prove remember is that it will take the gas and continue to run.
