i am from the e36 side of bmw-forums and wanted to know if anybody could take meuserments of their engine such as depth and width height is not a problem. This is because i want to stick an e39 m5 engine in my car so if anybody could do that it would be much appreciated thanks

PM 'frank de jonge' (member of this forums)! A friend of him has installed an e39 M5 engine in an e36. He can give you a website with pictures and additional information. Tell him that I told you about him!

Turbo the e36 m3 engine (I think that's the s52). It'll rev quicker than the huge crossplane v8, it won't mess up the balance, and it will get more power. Oh yeah, and based on the 18k price I've seen from the etk of the s62, it'll be a heck of a lot cheaper.
