Just wondering from the guys who track their cars, what your Quarter-mile times are or were... My car is stock and I was running low to mid 15's (15-15.5). Just wondering if thats slow or fast? Post your times and if your stock or not.
Hey I have a stock 95 M3 (currently) and with a good launch, no one else in the car and real speed shifting(hardly any clutch) i can run a 14.0-14.1@96mph. I'm guessing your driving a 325is with those times. In that car i would expect low to mid 15's. A 328is( fast car) runs high 14's. Also I live in Atlanta with high humidity which cuts times significantly.
I have a 1998 m3 sedan and with a good launch and no asc i used to pull high 14's and low 15 all the time.. But i noticed a great improvement when i switched to michelin pilot sport tires. i know i'm faster now but haven't hit the track lately. so no definitive answers yet... I'll let ya know.
WoW this is a old thread!!I think I posted this when i first got my car, oddly enough I just got my account working again here and this thread is on top!! Anyhow I have E36 M3 that was bone stock and I improved that time to 14.56 at that LACR which is 2700 ft elevetion and most E36 M3 run high14s to low 15s there ... So yes it was because of the track

There's still a lot of room for improvement. You should be able to run very low 14s.

OKaaaay 2700 ft elevation do you even know what that means specially to NA cars.......
O BTW i have VIDEO FOOTAGE of a few nights at that track E46 M3 full CSL body kit(include carbon roof)delage cams, airbox, software and even RA-1 tires.. the guy was sponsered by delage he said and according to him had 405hp at crank and guess what he was running all night?????
14.2s!!!
yes both that track and the driver suck!!! So yes it it impossible to run 14 flat at that trackith stock M3 that is.... if you calculate the elevation factor which NHRA gives you My 14.56 = 14.09 at sea level o and I had a passenger in my car at the time so yes there is room for improvement but not more than .2 tenths of a second...
