hey so i have a 99 M3 and am considering doing a few mods to it, but not quite sure what i want to do. I will list what i am considering, and please any advise would be greatly appreciated. lightweight fly wheel and clutch setup, OBD1 conversion, heavier injectors, shark injector, and a coil over suspension setup. if you know anything about any of these upgrades, good/bad comments i'd appreciate it. Also, really like the E46 M3's, should i just hold onto cash and eventually get one of those? I've heard the E46 is not nearly as reliable. any recommendations would help
Don't cheap out on anything, and plan on spending close to about 2k on all those parts.
For the injectors I believe its the green injectors that will work. You can get them out of a 5.0 Ford motor.
For the fly wheel and clutch look into the e39 m5, unless you go with act or some other brand.
There is a kit for the obd1 conversion but I don't recall which site. It includes the shark injector and all sorts of goodies.
If you choose to go with coilovers then kw is def the way to go. Personally I found it better to go with Bilstien shocks and h&r springs. Decent ride, but hold to the road very well.
Stick with the e36, aftermarket support is better, not as much electrical crap, more stable to.
For now just do intake exhaust and go with a dinan chip. Should jump the numbers from 240 to atleast 260.
im in north county, encinitas, what kind of gains could i expect from a shark injector? for product plus install it'd be about $400, with that i'd want to guarantee some serious punch
