All,

I am close to buying a '98 E36 M3 coupe, and was wondering if there are any well-known problems that I should be aware of? The car has 46K miles and hasn't given the owner a minute of grief. Thanks for any assistance --

Chris

Plastic water pump fins. Not that you can do anything about it to prevent it from breaking but you need to replace them.

Took a look at the FAQ. Looks like the water pump issue was resolved by '97. Nothing else really big jumps out. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Thanks to those of you who have responded!
