hi guys, im looking for a 2005-2006 M3 to buy and I found one online and I notices badge on the trunk that says "Dinan", what does this exactly mean? I have looked online but cant find a straight forward answer.
Dinan is like bmws well known aftermarket support. Almost all there parts will not void bmws warranty. They are like nismo to Nissan or mopar to dodge.
It's just a brand of performance parts for BMW. The badge on the car either means that the owner bought a badge or the earned so many points from dinan to earn the badge.
It's kinda like spend this much money on our parts and we will give you this.
Ask the seller what has been done to the car, could be anything from suspension to a supercharger.
Dinan is a BMW tunning company which has a direct relationship with BMW - their software tunes/upgrades can by done at Dinan certified BMW dealers, they will match the original 4yr/50k mile coverage that BMW offers and if done at a BMW dealer, it will not affect your service through BMW.
not exactly like AMG as Dinan is not owned/a division of BMW.

BMW and Dinan have since parted ways. You can purchase them used through classifieds on forums, or you can look through our site sponsors and see if one of them will carry the product. You can always contact Dinan directly and ask them who their retailers in your area are.
