My wants from this swap/upgrade....

I want a better solid feel than the e36 M3 diff...

I dont want to ever worry about it again... aside from fluid changes.

I want a fun drive... auto-x active... road corse maybe type drive...

Quality... premium product.

Go with something 3.46+ if you dotn plan on goign F/I in the future. Basically because you dont go for top speed and you want somethign shorter. Also I know this car is turning into your weekend car so you dont need to worrya botu gas mileage.

Get taller gearing if you do plan F/I.

I have a new 4-clutch 3.64 LSD from Metrix Motorsports on it's way to me in the next few days. The diff is for my race car build for BMWCCA club racing (99 M3 for I-Prepared).

Metrix has the lowest prices by far and their customer service has been outstanding thus far. I paid about 50% less than what it would have cost me from the other diff vendors.

Metrix is rather new to the scene and working on building their customer base. There are a few club racers using their diffs right now and a few running them on street cars as well.

Even though this topic is kinda old i'll agree with vinnymac (whos car is gorgeous in real life). Metrix seems to make great units at good prices. my buddy in Cali just got a 3.46lsd for his e36 328 and he loves it.
