so you don't know what they exactly changed to the engine to get the extra power?
thats what i'm looking for here is what they changed to make the power.

its a completely different engine, thats what changed lol, they even moved over to solid lifters just for those extra few RPMS/HP...almost nothing is shared from S52 to S54

One thing that must be pointed out is that the engine used on the US-spec E36 M3 and M coupe was an S52US, which was more similar to the M52 on the 328 and 323 vehicles than it was to the engine used on the European M3, which produced 320 hp.
