Custom Sport Catalytic Converters

I want my E36 M3 to sound as amazing as possible. I have a UUC System "U" Exhaust and a Conforti intake on order. I was looking at track pipes, but I would like to keep the catalytic converter on the car. I found some high flow sport cats for a Ferrari 360 Modena online and I was curious to know if I could use one on my E36 M3. Cutting and welding wouldn’t be an issue, but would I face any flow problems or loss of power? And would it sound better? They claim that on the 360 they sound a lot louder and aggressive.

The sports catalitic it will give you more power and more torque, but if you whant a good sound and a more money save (because racing catalitic converter are very expensive) i would recomend the supersprint "784302 Front exhaust Replaces Kat" this is the racing sistem that has no catalitic and is about 400€.

The sport catalitic is about 1400€ "043602 Front exhaust with Metal Kat. R.+ L. Stainless steel " is also very good but i think its too expensive.

the only prob. with that is passing emissions. If you know a mechanic that does testing, you will be fine

Ok, but do you think it was sound better? And will I gain any power from this?

The sound of your car it will be more sport.
I have a Tüv eisenmann mufler (not the race) and now I put the No kat of supersprint and the headers of supersprint and my M3 sound´s like the devil, and performances even beter (i like more of performance that sound)
The car now rocks.... and the exhaust now expires fire.... that´s the devil

Your car expires fire? How? haha i'd love for my M3 to do the same. Do you use a race fuel? Or what other modifications do you have? Or is it just ffrom not having a cat? also, does it spit fire when u rev ur car, or only under hard acceleration?

I dont know if it is only because i have no kat but i think so.
The car has the eisenmann exhaust and didn´t make fire and now that has supersprint No Kat and supersprint headers makes alot more noise (very sport sound) and if you make acelerations he makes big flames.

I think if you buy only the supersprint No Kat (is about 400€) it makes more sound, more performance and makes fire (but the fire i can´t be sure because i have all the exhaust line).
