Im looking at buying a 95-97 m3 in the next couple of months. The ones in my price range have 60-80k miles on them. Is there anything that I should look out for when it comes to these cars? How long will these motors last? Im totally new to the M3 so any help is greatly appreciated. Is it worth it to drop 15-18k on an M3 w/ 80k miles?
I just dropped 18.5 on one with 75k miles. The car will last 300k miles if you take proper care of it. In fact most E36 M owners say the engine doesn't break in until 70k miles or more.
I roll a 95 m3 with 129k and the thing rips- i bought it with 99k and started tuning then- make sure the car was well maintained and the thing will rip forever and be worth the money-
Humm...i bought a 98 m3 with 47 000 or so kliks on it, just coming up to 50 000 now...
Is there a way to check for over reving and any abuse that would of been done by the previous owner??
I'm starting to wonder if the guy broke it in right and whatnot. THough he did seem like a nice guy (family dude, owned a Bucatti bike and was purchasing a 911 porsche)..
so anyway of checking for overreving?
