M3 all the way. Otherwise you will just be a 3 Series owner not an M owner.

I have a 98 M3 and when i take mine in for service i get to drive the 2005 models. the 2005 3 series is great if you want JUST a daily driver. if you want performance then go with the M. i liked the 2005 3s but there is NO comparision to the Ms. I put those 3s through the paces and they are just lacking in the feel. suspension is much softer and the torque is not the same. the 3s are made to cruise in while the Ms are made for pure power and excitement. get the M!!
