Bonehead move of the day - BMW Forum

So I was driving to work this morning a new way. Took an unfamiliar left turn only to find a 2-3 inch concrete median in my path. Car went airborn. Front bumper is basically destroyed; passenger side front wheel now sits about two inches to the rear of where it should be.

My guess: new front bumper, new fog lights, new sway bar, new strut.

I popped the hood and couldn't see any damage to the strut tower. What happens if that's bent too?

I feel for you. Got into an accident today, myself. Is it anti-m3 day today? I'm glad you are safe.
I think there are better plates you could reinforce those strut towers with...
Time to say the glass is half full and see if you can get a nice aftermarket front spoiler maybe?

Ouch fellas. Thats gotta suck. Hope both of your guys' cars get back up and running well.

Have you taken off the wheel and take a look at the suspenion damage? a pic of that area would be good.

this MIGHT just be me, but im goign to recommend you get an alignment done afterwards

She's at BMW of Fairfax, VA body shop now.

This is where it pays off to be a high school teacher. One of my kids now works there; graduated last year, was so inspired by my car's incredible awesomeness that he wanted to work for BMW. He may just be able to get me a discount :-)
