Basic Question E36 E46 S52 S54

Hi.

Is it correct to say for M3's / M Coupe's that:

E36 M3 / M coupe' has S52 motor and that the Euro version is 3.2 321 HP

E46 M3 / M Coupe' has S54 motor, the one accused of blowing up all the time ?

If so then a 2000 M coupe' specifically has the S52 motor and would be an E36 M Coupe' ?

Have i got this right ?

yes, i'm not sure though, i believe the euro 2000 m-coupe still had the s52 engine, the u.s. version had the m52b32 engine, and i believe 2001 is when the s54 was put into the m-coupe for both us and euro versions
