ABS and ACS lights on intermittently

I have a 1998 M3 Convertible, 77K miles.

I have an intermittent problem with the ABS and ACS lights.

Sometimes I start the car, drive off no lights - great.

Other times I start the car - no lights - start to drive off and the both come on and stay on !!

By the way when the ABS light is on I do not have ABS - trust me I've tried it:

I'm thinking faulty wheel speed sensor but looking for anyone who's had the same experience.

My 95 has the airbag light problem also, i just ignore it cause im cool and accent that getting hit in the head would hurt.

But the ABS/ASC lights is weird. My buddy who just bought a 96 M3 coupe is having the same problem. Anyone know wussup?
