97-98 M3 stock rims

Howdy,

Can anyone tell me what the stock rims on the 97-98 M3 were and what the upgraded rims were? I see a 20 spoke, a 5 spoke and a 10 spoke, which was base, which were upgrade #1 and which were upgrade #2 (more expensive)?

there not really upgrades...they were just a differnt type of rims. M Double Spoke M Double Spoke which are on the LTW m3
and then the M spoke II styling

The first generation 10-spokes came on '95s.

'97 and '98s offered three choices - the 10-spoke II, the M Contours and the forged aluminum lightweights (a ~$2,000 option IIRC).
