Hey everyone, I just recently acquired a '95 M3. It has an advanced autowerkes exhaust, chip and intake. I have been driving it around for about 8 months and I noticed when I punch it in 1st it leaves a huge cloud of smoke, and it only happens in gear, I can rev it as much as I want out of gear with no smoke. It only has 110K miles and had its 100K servicing done. Anybody have any ideas??? Thanks
Sorry, correction Active Autowerekes. The smoke I think is white, I am always too far away to see it, which would mean oil. I just recently changed the valve cover seals and bolts, where else could it be leaking?
Yes... that is what adjusts your fuel mixture... sorta... well it sends the data word to your ECU which it takes into acount with other variables... and then produces your fuel mixture... which would either mean its running rather lean or rich... producing that smoke. Change that.. and it will probably and most likely fix your problem.
Good Luck.. and welcome to the forums..
Les
BTW.. this is the 3 series forum... we have our own forum... M...
Thanks guys, another quick question, if I am getting the code for air mass/volume sensor, does that mean I have to chane the whole air flow meter ($300) or is it possible it could be a connection or something else?
