2005 M3

Hey guys, I know I never post here, but my gf got her 2005 m3 a little while back and I'll be driving it quite a bit now, I just had a few questions. I heard it's absoluetely RIDDLED with saftey features, and that sucks!!!

So I set it into SPORT mode (little button on dash?) to tighten up the throttle body correct? How do I turn off the traction control/DSC/whatever else there is to limit the engine? Are there nice buttons that I can just push?

There is a DSC button next to the Sport button. The guy at bmw told my dad originally (my dad caught him in the lie) that the sport button tightened the supension. But in reality it just improves the responce of the gas pedal. DSC is the only security feature, other than that, make sure it is past breakin and and warmed up completely, then go lay down some rubber...

1) make sure it's broken in as stated before. (unless of course she's gonna get rid of it).

2) hold down the DSC button until the DSC indicator light (under the ///M symbol on the speedo) stays solid

3) press the sport mode button

4) if the car is an SMG version, a 6th little bar should appear when you have done 2 and 3, (S6 Mode ? dunno if I have that named correctly), go into this mode.

5) see other threads that I and others have written in for 'launch mode'

6) All info except for launch mode is in the manual. Highly suggested reading!

those safety features are great, and they save lifes. don't knock something that you hav'nt researched. read the manual!
