| I am looking to purchase a 2002 M3, and some are advertised with the 6/100k warranty. I assume these were built during the period (11/01 - 2/01) that experienced the engine failure and were given the extended warranty. Should the value of these cars be lower than the 2002s built outside of that window? I would be hesitant to pay the same price for an M3 built in 1/02 cersus one built in 5/02. What do people feel about this, am I catually getting a better car because of the extended warranty and presumably they would put a new engine in if there were an engice failure? I am new to BMW so any input is requested, I have only heard poor things about BMW service and reliability on their cars. |
