2000 or 2002 M5 Question

Hello.

I'm in the process of buying a used M5 from the dealer. I have the option of a year 2000, or a year 2002.

Both are similar in color and features. The 2000 has 60K Kms, and the 2002 has 40K kms. The 2002 is about $15,000 CDN more.

Does the 2000 M5 have any issues that have been fixed in subsequent releaeses?

I'm prone to go for the cheaper 2000, but any advice would be appreciated, especially if there are any differences or fixes between these years.

the 2002 will be better in the long run because 1999 and 2000 car had problem with the motor

2002 will have the facelift too - Angel eyes, lager grill etc.

I think 2000's had a problem consuming to much oil. Get the '02, and get a warranty with it.

When you have the bucks go for the 2002. You even get more warranty on it than the '00.
